With just a few more hours to go, Singapore holds its breath apprehensively, waiting for the final announcement on October 11, of the winner of Miss Universe Singapore, which is being jointly organised by The New Paper and Miss Universe Singapore organisation. The winner will represent the city-state at the main event of Miss Universe which is to be held on November 26, at The Axis, Las Vegas.
This year's theme for the contest is "Vie for a Beautiful Cause". Being beautiful once again should not narrow down to the idea of a particular characteristic providing pleasure or satisfaction, rather it should provide a sense of harmony and joy to the surrounding.
Miss Universe has always been a platform where not only standards of beauty but a complete intellectual being is measured. The winner becomes the ambassador of the thousands of people across the globe, working for the welfare of the masses in distress, thus rescuing the universe. The crown no matter how beguiling it looks definitely has its weight. This title is not an easy thing to pull off.
Singapore's enchantresses are ready to set the stage on fire and the audience simply cannot wait for Wednesday. These exotic goddesses are giving some beauty goals to the lasses round the world. Coming straight from the beauty queens Estelle Heng and Camira Asrori, in an exclusive interview to IBTimes Singapore, is a mixed bag of beauty hacks these enchantresses follow.
Which beauty style you swear by?
Estelle: Korean natural make up looks! It's simple and saves you time since you don't have to apply too many products.
Camira: A bronze makeup look, defined eyebrows and super-highlighted cheekbones.
Which beauty style you will never attempt?
Estelle: Having bright colored eyebrows! I won't attempt having them yellow or other unusual colors.
Camira: The rainbow highlighter.
Which style do you prefer to carry during your vacay mode?
Estelle: During vacations, I'll prefer to pack light so I'll go for simple styles.
Camira: I love my beach vacays so I love my bikinis and swimsuits. I will always source out for unique bikinis months before my vacay. I also love my two-pieces, kaftans and maxi dresses anything effortless but actually took me quite an effort to source and put together haha.
Who is your inspiration?
Estelle: My inspiration is Karlie Kloss, she's an entrepreneur who defies stereotypes by teaching girls coding.
Camira: Rihanna. I love her style. I love her attitude and how she is so feisty and never settles. She keeps getting better, from being a singer to an actress, from having her own perfume line, to shoe and jewellery collaborations and now her own cosmetic brand. I love women like that - women who want it all.
The best advice you have been given so far?
Estelle: No one's forcing you to do anything, you make your own choices. It's from my taekwondo master, and it reminds me that I'm in control of my life and that I can choose what I want to do in life.
Camira: My girlfriends always tell me to never settle and it keeps me going. It keeps me hungry for more success and achievements in my life.

Estelle: My taekwondo dobok, maxi dresses, denim jackets, swimsuits and bikinis.
Camira: A good fitted pair of high-waisted jeans, statement tees (I'm all about girl power and I love graphic tees that shows that), a white maxi dress (for those lazy days) and a trench coat (I'm always prepared haha).
Five items in your handbag you cannot do without.
Estelle: My lip balm, my phone, water, some snacks and tissue!
Camira: Powerbank, my Gucci Marmont cardholder, house keys, a pair of statement earrings (for that quick perk-my-outfit-up) and a bottled water.
Recent beauty trend that attracts you.
Estelle: Going bare faced! Sometimes less is more, agreed?
Camira: I've been attracted to glossy lips ever since Rihanna launched her Fenty Beauty.
A quick overview of your dietary chart.
Estelle: Oats for breakfast, a substantial meal packed with protein for lunch and a light dinner.
Camira: I used to eat everything and anything, except vegetables but ever since I joined the competition, I paid more attention to what I consume - healthier options and now I love broccoli!
A beauty hack you simply cannot do without.
Estelle: Apply contour in shape of 3 (at the side of your face)
Camira: Using brown eyeshadow to define my eyebrows.
Your biggest beauty indulgence so far.
Estelle: None yet! I like to keep my make up light.
Camira: I don't really splurge on makeup and beauty products because I'm not a beauty junkie. But I do spend on my nails because I change my nail colour every 2 weeks.
Your advice to the aspiring models who are dreaming to be a part of this iconic platform in future.
Estelle: Don't be afraid to take chances!
Camira: Always have a goal in mind and plan your actions towards it. Never give up despite the number of challenges and obstacles you face. Keep reminding yourself that it will be worth it in the end and always remain humble.
