Korean boy bands EXO and Wanna One, and solo artist Yoon Jong Shin topped the Gaon Music Charts for the month of August.
Gaon, Korea's version of Billboard, released the top selling albums and singles for August ranging from digital to album charts.
In the album chart for the month, 11-member Wanna One placed No. 1 with "1X1=1 (To Be One)," which sold 704,616 copies. The boy band has already won 15 TV music chart trophies from various shows including "Music Bank" and "Inkigayo" for the album's lead track "Energetic" since their debut last month.
Placing second is "Holiday Night" by Girls' Generation with 159,382; "The War" by EXO, 120,046; "We Young" by NCT Dream, 79,996; and "GFriend-5th Mini Album" by GFriend, 61,473. "The War" has already sold 928,701 copies since it was released in July, according to Gaon.
Others in the top ten are Taeyang, WINNER, JJ Project, Jessica and Boyfriend.
In the digital chart, EXO's "Ko Ko Bop" placed first followed by Yoon Jong Shin's "Like It," Wanna One's "Energetic," "Show Me The Money" track "N분의 1" and Heize's "You, Clouds, Rain."
"Like It" topped the download chart 473,179 downloads while "Energetic" grabbed second place with 455,984 followed by "Ko Ko Bop," 411,635; "N분의 1," 364,823; and WINNER's "Love Me Love Me," 345,015.
In the streaming chart, the top five are "Like It," "You, Clouds, Rain," "Red Flavor" by Red Velvet, "N분의 1" and "A Daily Song" by Hwang Chi Yeul.
"Ko Ko Bop" also topped the BGM chart followed by "Sad Love," OST for drama "You Are Too Much"; "You, Clouds, Rain" and "Energetic."
In the mobile chart, "Like It" is first followed by "Sad Love," "Energetic," "You, Clouds, Rain" and "As If It's Your Last" by Black Pink.
