The fans of "Descendants of the Sun" have always believed that the lead stars of the drama are in a secret relationship. They have always wished to see them together and now, recently when SBS cut off the speech of Song Joong Ki thanking his co-star, Song Hye Kyo during the recently-concluded 29th Korean Producers awards, it made them furious.
According to inquisitr, the fans and followers of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo were upset to see that Joong Ki's acceptance speech was cut off during the 29th Korean Producers awards, particularly the part featuring the actor praising his rumoured girlfriend Hye Kyo.
Joong Ki praised the "Full House" actress stating how thankful he is for her unending support during the filming of the drama. The fans of the SongSong couple considered it to be a very biased act. The 31-year-old actor said, "In Korea, actors always steal the spotlight-compared to the actresses. To me, this drama was a big project, as it marked by comeback to the entertainment scene after spending two years in the military."
During his acceptance speech, he also stated, "I want to share the glory of this award with my co-star Song Hye-kyo who shared the burden and constantly reassured me and gave me the confidence by being there for me."
The fuss was created because though Joong Ki's award winning part was covered, the part where mentioned Hye Kyo was cut off, fans cannot accept the fact that it was unintentional and considers it to be very unfair. However, SBS didn't comment on the incident, yet.
In other news, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are rumoured to be working together for the upcoming sequel of "Descendants of the Sun". Korea Portal reported the endless awards being received by the series and its cast are clear manifestations that the series needs a sequel.
However, neither Song Joong Ki ,Song Hye Kyo nor the showrunners confirmed anything about the sequel of "Descendants of the Sun."
