Upcoming drama 'Fight My Way' from Pan Entertainment will deal with the lives of two immature friends struggling to make it in life and their budding romance. The stars of the drama, Park Seo-joon and Kim Ji-won have revealed how comfortable they are with each other on the sets of the drama.
Website Soompi notes that on May 15, Park Seo-joon revealed that he had grown close to Kim Ji-won while filming the drama. "Even though it's my first time working with Kim Ji Won, we talked a lot in the early stages of filming so it feels like we've always known each other. We have good chemistry now that we're quite close," he said.
Park Seo-joon, who recently appeared in a leading role in 'Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth,' added his real-life friendship with Kim Ji-won reflects the comfort shared between their fictional counterparts; "Our characters in the drama were close friends ever since they were young, so we just treat each other comfortably on set."
As for Kim Ji-won, the actress said her co-star Park Seo-joon has a lot of ideas that he contributes to a scene while filming. "He makes scenes a lot more fun with his various ideas," she said. Kim Ji-won is known for her the dramas, 'To the Beautiful You,' 'The Heirs' and 'Descendants of Sun.'
The two actors also talked about the dynamic shared between their characters in 'Fight My Way.' "The two characters always fight but they care about each other a lot. It's okay if I tease her but I can't stand other people bothering her. I look forward to their relationship that moves from friends to lovers," Park Seo Joon said. To this, Kim Ji-won added, "There will probably be some conflict, excitement, and confused feelings during the process of turning into lovers. I think the viewers will have fun watching us."
In the teasers for the romantic comedy, the two actors can be seen in conflict; constantly bickering with each other. However, it shows that they care deeply for each other's well being and are not typical lovers. In one of the teasers Park Seo-joon can be seen shoving a handful of lettuce to Kim Ji-won's mouth after she asks him to make her a food wrap like another cute but annoying couple seated across the table from them. The scene demonstrates the refreshing comedy in the drama and the sute chemistry between the lead actors.
The first episode of 'Fight My Way' airs on May 22 at 10 p.m. KST, and will be shown on KBS2.
