Samsung Galaxy Tab fans are in for some great news as fresh details of Galaxy Tab S3 has leaked just ahead of its proposed launch for Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February at Barcelona. The Tab S3 is touted be the successor to Tab S2 which was released way back in 2015.
The latest leak from a Korean media suggests that the Tab S3 will come with a powerful configuration that will be on-par with the Galaxy S7, but a bit on the pricier side. It is touted that the Tab S3 will ship in Wi-Fi and LTE variants with their corresponding model numbers codenamed as 'SM-T825' and 'SM-T820' respectively.
On the price front, however, the Tab S3 seems to be a tad too expensive at an estimated Korean price of 700,000 won, which translates to just a little over $600. Considering that several flagship smartphones are available around the same price, it remains to be seen how Samsung will project the selling price of the highly-anticipated Galaxy tablet at the time of its launch.
A reasonably agreeable price would be in the range of $300 to $350, especially due to the fact that tablet users are mostly of casual type who wouldn't be running too many resource-hungry apps on the device.
Regardless of which category of user group you belong to, here are the leaked specs for the forthcoming Galaxy Tab 3 device:
SoC | Snapdragon 820 |
RAM | 4GB |
Display | 9.6-inch 2048x1536 |
Camera | 12MP rear, 5MP front |
Software | Android 7.0 |
Measurements | 5.6mm thick |
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that the Tab S3 has recently passed the FCC certification for the LTE model (SM-T825) as it further strengthens the possibility of an imminent release for the third-gen Galaxy tablet.
