Girls' Generation singer and actress Choi Soo-young, better known as Sooyoung, recently divulged some details of her upcoming web drama 'People You May Know' from JTBC network. She talked about how the drama revolves around a mysterious love triangle and forgotten memories.
As noted by website Soompi, talking about 'People You May Know,' Sooyoung said, "'People You May Know' tells the story of Lee Ahn tracing her memory of a forgotten love by solving the password of a phone that her ex-boyfriend left behind."
In the JTBC drama, Sooyoung plays a variety show producer named Lee Ahn, who is hardworking. Actor Lee Won-geun and Shim Hee-sub also star as her past and present lovers respectively.
Shedding more light on the love triangle, Sooyoung said, "I think the interesting aspect of 'People You May Know' is Lee Ahn's mysterious love triangle with past lover Kim Jin Young (played by Shim Hee-sub) and new love interest Kim Jin Young (Lee Won-geun)."
It is curious enough that both her lovers share the same name. Her former lover passes away due to an accident and she receives his locked phone. As she tries to unlock the phone with 10 tries, she meets another man with the same name as her past lover.
Sooyoung requested to her viewers, "Please watch 'People You May Know,' which will be shared through NaverTV on July 31 at 7 a.m. KST." Watch a teaser of the drama below.
Meanwhile, Soompi also notes that on July 31 at midnight, KST, Girls' Generation has shared an image of Sooyoung as a teaser for their comeback album "Holiday Night." The quote accompanying the teaser read, "Later, when ten years have passed, I want to have become someone who has a good aroma to them [is memorable]."
In her teaser clip interview, Sooyoung is heard saying, "'Girls' Generation' is a superstar, but I'm not sure if I am," adding, "I've often felt that 'Girls' Generation' is a different person when I talk about it."
Soompi notes that Girls' Generation will release "Holiday Night" on August 4 at 6 p.m. KST, digitally. The album will be released on physical media on August 7. The K-pop group will also make their stage comeback on "M!Countdown" on August 10.
