Goblin featuring Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun wrapped up with 16 episodes and topped the CPI during Jan 9-15, 2017. Popular SBS mermaid drama "Legend of the Blue Sea" dropped down to number three and variety show "Infinite Challenge" is at number two.
According to the data from entertainment company CJ E&M and Nielsen Korea, as cited by Yonhap News, "Goblin," which is also known as "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" got Content Power Index (CPI) scores of 315.1 points. SBS drama "Legend of the Blue Sea" lost its position number two.
Meanwhile, the variety show "Infinite Challenge" rose six spots higher with a CPI score of 227.2 points grabbing the number two spot. The Lee Min Ho drama "Legend of the Blue Sea" dropped down to number three with CPI score of 226.4 points. At number four is the KBS historical series "Hwarang" with CPI score of 224.9 points.
In other news, the soundtracks of the tvN fantasy drama 'Goblin' are still dominating various local music charts including Instiz. According to AllKpop, during the period of Jan. 16 to Jan. 22, the tvN drama's four tracks grabbed a place in the top five rankings of Instiz's Singles chart.
Reportedly, the Ailee's 'Goblin' OST track namely "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow" got the number one spot in the said chart with 37,153 points. Meanwhile, Crush's "Beautiful" got the third spot with 20,020 points.
The track "Stay with Me" featuring EXO's Chanyeol and vocals of Punch managed the number four position with 13,467 points and it was followed by Soyu's I Miss You" that secured the number five position with 12,361 points.
