Popular 2014 SBS series "God's Gift - 14 Days" of Korea will be remade by a US-based channel ABC. The series will be titled "Somewhere Between" and will be starring Paula Patton. The 10-episode series will start airing in the United States from June. This will be the first American series that is based on a Korean format.
According to SBS TV, usually, without a pilot test ABC does not air straight-to-series order of 10 episodes. However, the ABC's president is way too confident about the show and he stated: "The plot of 'God's Gift - 14 Days' is so specific and exciting enough that a dubbed version of the drama could be broadcast in the United States."
The new ABC series will be written by Stephen Tolkien. He is the man behind popular shows like "Brothers and Sisters" and "Legend of the Seeker." For Somewhere Between, Tolkien will be the executive director along with Ivan Fecan and Joseph Broido.
The main female character of the series will be Paula Patton who starred in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. However, the rest of the casting of Somewhere Between is still in progress. Patton was looking for part on a television series, particularly ABC and this turns out to be lucky for her.
