Gong Hyo-jin, known for her leading role in the 2008 film 'Crush and Blush' and more recently, in the TV drama 'Jealousy Incarnate,' is a close friend of 'Goblin' star Gong Yoo. She will be supporting him in his upcoming Hong Kong fan meet.
Website Soompi notes that Gong Hyo-jin flew all the way to Hong Kong on May 4, despite her busy schedule, to make a guest appearance at her friend Gong Yoo's fan meet there, on May 6. The two actors are also under the same agency, Management Soop.
Gong Yoo is currently touring Asia to hold various fan meetings. His first fan meet in Taiwan was quite successful in many ways. He was able to entertain his fans through singing, watching scenes from 'Goblin' together and revealing interesting bits of his personal life.
He will be donating 100,000 Taiwan dollars to children between the ages 3 to 18 who are suffering from such diseases.
Also of note is that Gong Yoo was recently recognised for his performance in the hit tvN drama 'Goblin.' He was crowned the best actor in a drama at the 2017 Baeksang Arts Awards, where he became emotional talking about his mother.
As for Gong Hyo-jin, she is also a kind-hearted, concerned individual, as she has proven through her various philanthropic efforts. She has written a number of pro-environment essays, published under the title 'Gong Hyo-jin's Notebook.'
In the essays, she offers invaluable advice about how to lead a pro-green life by using among many things, growing plants, saving electricity, adopting abandoned pets and riding bicycles rather than automobiles.
The two actors and good friends look like kindred souls and hopefully they'll do a project together, whether in TV, film or a charitable work. As for acting, Gong Hyo-jin has previously said that she hopes to work with 'Chicago Typewriter' lead actor Yoo Ah-in someday.
As noted by Soompi on November 20 last year, she told TV reporter Park Seul-gi, "I still want to act with him," adding, "He needs to come to our press preview but he hasn't responded yet. Ah-in, please respond ASAP."
