After the glorious success of Descendants of the Sun, scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook is all set to amaze her fans with an another rousing series to be aired on tvN.
Scheduled to release in November, it is stated that the upcoming series, unlike Descendants of the Sun won't vouch for "romantic cuteness" and "happy endings".
While the cast for the forthcoming drama has not been revealed, it is said that Eun Sook wants Gong Yoo to play the main lead.
"We are positively considering the new project by Kim Eun Sook. While there was a productive meeting between Gong Yoo and Kim Eun Sook, nothing has been decided yet," Yoo's agency quoted.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Eun Sook has approached the 36-year-old South Korean actor for her script. Apparently, Yoo was also considered to play the lead role in the popular series Descendants of the Sun, but things did not work out well and actor Song Joong Ki bagged the role.
The new supernatural romantic series, which will take up the Friday - Saturday slot is tentatively named as Demon. Koalas affirmed that the upcoming K-drama is inspired by Korean folktales and goblins, and is set to "incorporate scary elements from Eastern lore including creatures from Asian myth."
