It was previously reported that the popular Korean star, Gong Yoo will be seen in the CNN spotlight. As the day is about to come, CNN released a short preview of their interview with Gong Yoo.
The 37-year-old star came to fame with his powerful acting, who debuted with Coffee Prince- a decade ago - since then he never turned back. He starred in a number of TV dramas and movies Big, Finding Mr. Destiny, One Fine Day, and Silenced. He was also undoubtedly well recognized for the hit zombie thriller movie Train to Busan. However, his recent hit drama, Goblin made him a global star.
CNN filmed an exclusive interview with the Goblin actor which is to be a part of their series, Talk Asia. The said talk show mainly focuses on important personalities related to arts, sports, politics, and business and he was definitely chosen for the immense popularity of Goblin: The Lonely and Great God where he played the role of Goblin. The drama ended with pretty high ratings and can be considered as one the best K-dramas in the recent times.
In the preview clip, the actor is seen wearing a blue tee standing next to the anchor, Anna Coren who starts by saying that they wanted the interview to take place outside but given Gong Yoo's popularity they knew it will be difficult as he would have been mobbed by the fans so they kept the interview indoors.
The actor revealed that he misses being able to just walk around or eat street food, swimming at the beach without being photographed.
Viewers will also see how admirably he talks in English and affirms that the photos are the reason why he doesn't like using social media much.
The actor will be following the footsteps of other K-stars such as BIGBANG, PSY, BoA, Lee Byung Hun, athletes Kim Yu Na and Park Ji Sung. His interview is scheduled to be aired on CNN's "Talk Asia" on May 25, at 5:30 p.m. KST.
