It's a wrap for MBC's drama Goodbye, Mr Black. The 20 episode series bid adieu to its fans on 19 May, with the viewership touching its highest mark of 11.1 % .
The mystery thriller drama, which occupied the slot of One More Happy Ending, was not one of the popular show among viewers in its initial telecasts. As per TNmS ratings, the drama did not do well until its eleventh episode, which saw an unbelievable surge in the viewership, and fortunately, there was no looking back.
Meanwhile, Lee Jin Wook who played Mr Black in the show talked about the show's ending to Allkpop. He said: "The long and winding 20-episode path has come to an end. These past 5 months have been like a war. Please show us your love and support."
The actor also stated that for his next assignment he would like to take up a role which allows him to have a normal life.
Adding on, the female lead of the show, Moon Chae won also expressed her gratitude towards her fans on her social media. She said: "It wasn't easygoing ever since we started filming in Thailand, but the other actors and I all put our strength together to make it to the end."
She added: " I was able to be stronger thanks to the love of all our fans and viewers, who took to Swan fondly. Thank you. Please spend a warm spring."
MBC's Wednesdays and Thursdays time slot will now be taken over by romantic comedy drama series Lucky Romance starring Ryu Jun-yeol and Hwang Jung-eum from 25 May.
