Leaks these days are confirming more news than official announcements itself, and yet another comes in regard to Google Pixel smartphone that has made quite a stir among the smartphone users. The latest leak by AndroidPolice claims that the Google Pixel smartphone will get an update of Android O as soon as August 2017.
Managing Editor of AndroidPolice David Ruddock further stated that the details were obtained from a "reliable source" and that the update is expected to arrive during the first two weeks of August. But, he has expressed that the release and roll-out dates are always subjected to change and hence the confirmed details can only be drawn when the actual launch date comes closer.
If this is true then Google Pixel will be the first device to get the latest OS by Android named Android O which comes with exciting new features, and a faster and better performance than the previous versions. But, the leaked information does not confirm whether the older Nexus devices and Google Pixel C would get the upgrade at the same time. Since Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel C works with the Android O beta version, we can expect the update soon in these devices after Pixel.
Although Google devices are getting the update earlier than other phones, third-party Android manufacturers might be able to manage to offer an update to the other phones after it is launched officially. Other phones which are either confirmed or speculated to get the Android O update are Nokia 6 and yes, OnePlus 3 and 3T.
