Academy Award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow has reportedly split with boyfriend Brad Falchuk to be with former husband, Chris Martin. The Iron Man actress and the Coldplay singer have maintained a close bond for their two children, Apple and Moses.
According to Radar Online, the two want to give their relationship another chance. A source said: "Both Chris and Gwyneth have tried and failed to move on ... she really misses his companionship. They might have had a bohemian marriage, but it worked. She's beginning to regret pulling the plug. She and Chris actually had it pretty good."
Paltrow and Falchuk have reportedly been continuously fighting, which let to their break-up. The insider revealed: "After countless fights with Brad over the fact that he refused divorce his ex-wife for her, the last straw came in September, when Brad ditched Gwyneth's Mexican birthday vacation. Since then, the two have not attended one formal event together!"
"And now that Gwyneth and Brad have pretty much fizzled out, she intends to talk to Chris into giving their relationship another go," the source said. "Gwyneth and Chris had a sizzling chemistry when they first got together. This time it's not a matter of finding their way back, but moving forward."
Previously, Paltrow had opened up about her relationship with Martin. While speaking during a Cannes Lions discussion with Stephen Sakur, she said: "My children know that we're in a loving family. And I adore their father even though we're not in a romantic relationship."
"I'm very proud of us for the way that - as anyone who has been divorced knows - we have had to put aside an awful lot to stay a family for the sake of the children. Sometimes it's quite tough on a personal level," she added.
Meanwhile, Martin revealed to The Sunday Times, how the two handled their crumbling marriage. He said: "It's always out there in the media, but I have a very wonderful separation-divorce. It's a divorce, but it's a weird one. You can come at it very aggressively and blame and blame. Or you can put yourself in the garage, so to speak. Take yourself apart and clean off the bits. Reassemble."
