An American tabloid has come up with claims that Taylor Swift and Ben Affleck are interested in each other. The 26-year-old singer was allegedly hoping to date the father-of-three after her split with Tom Hiddleston.
According to InTouch magazine, the Gone Girl actor was "totally blown away by Taylor's beauty and charming personality," when they met backstage at a 1989 World Tour concert in 2015.
"After the show, Ben asked his 'Suicide Squad' co-star Cara Delevingne to put them in touch," a source said. "The pair soon struck up a friendship. It started off as innocent texts, but those messages have become much more flirtatious, especially after Taylor split from Tom [Hiddleston]. She's made it clear to Ben that she's interested - and Taylor always gets what she wants."
Swift has "set her sights on Ben" and wants to "turn their friendship into a full-blown romance."
"He's had a crush on Taylor since they first met and feels like they have a real connection," the insider added. "He's slowly paving a way for a romance."
Meanwhile Affleck had previously revealed that his children are a big fan of Swift. The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice actor admitted that his two daughters Seraphina and Violet were completely awestruck when they met the Bad Blood hitmaker.
During an interview with ET's Carly Steel while promoting his new movie, The Accountant, he said: "I introduced my two girls to Taylor Swift. It was like God came down and walked on water. They didn't say a thing. They were totally frozen."
