Remember Hot Pie (actor Hawkey) from Game of Thrones, the guy who plays Arya's friend in the fantasy thriller. He has opened a real-time GoT inspired bakery and guess what, he even makes a delicious Direwold bread (Remember the wolf-shaped bread he makes for Arya in season 3). Post the second episode of GoT, Stormborn, Hot Pie's bakery, You Know Nothing John Dough, is sure to grab the eyeballs.
Hawkey launched his John Dough bakery via British online food ordering company Deliveroo and of course, he cleverly opened it coincidentally with the premiere of the seventh season. In addition, fans of the HBO show can also meet Pie in person at his bakery to enjoy some of his baking.
According to NewsHub, his bread is made from whole wheat cornbread with orange zest and best served slightly warm with soft butter. "People are always asking me for the secret of my recipe. I can't share that, but Deliveroo customers will have the chance to try them themselves. You don't even need to take a dangerous walk down the King's Road to visit, it comes to you," he was quoted saying to NewsHub.
A Deliveroo spokesperson told DigitalSpy that they are pleased to help the GoT actor fulfilling his dream. "It's brilliant that we have been able to help Ben realise his dream of opening a real-world bakery, bringing a classic piece of on-screen cuisine to the real world. At Deliveroo we want to make good on our promise to widen access to the world's best food, whether it's from ours or from Westeros. Just search 'You Know Nothing John Dough' in the app."
Meanwhile, the seventh season of GoT has reunited old pals Hot Pie and Arya. Pie even informed Arya about her surviving family members and how Jon Snow won the Battle of the Bastards to become the King in the North. Upon hearing this, Arya decides to head to Winterfell.
Well, we have to wait till this Sunday to get a glimpse of the rest.
