In the latest 'Hwarang: The Beginning teaser, V's character is that of the innocent 'Hwarang' named Han Sung, the youngest of them all. According to allkpop, Go Ara, who is also part of the drama, says Han Sung is "full of curiosity, laughs a lot, and if he focuses on something, he won't know what's going on around him even if the world is turning upside down."
The character always gets into trouble for sleeping in and also for dissing his teachers. He also enjoys dancing. He is the most amicable one in the group and hence tries to be closer with the new "hwarang" that is played by Park Seo Joon.
Plot of the new historic drama
'Hwarang' which is also known as 'Hwarang: The Beginning' sets up in an ancient Korean kingdom that existed until the 10th century of Silla and the story is that of an elite group of male youth there. The literal meaning of the term 'hwarang' is "flowering knights".
According to Korea Portal, "V (with the full name of Kim Tae Hyung) is a member of the boy group BTS. He started in 2013 when he was launched along with the rest of the BTS members. 'Hwarang' will be V's debut project as an actor. He will also collaborate with a fellow BTS member, Jin, for the OST of the said drama."

The upcoming historical drama also includes other actors like Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, Go Ara, Choi Min Ho, Do Ji Han, Jo Yoon Woo, Kim Ji Soo, Kim Tae Hyung, Choi Won Young, Lee Da In, Seo Ye Ji, and Kim Chang Wan.
'Hwarang: The Beginning' will be aired from December 19, 2016, at 22:00 KST on Mondays and Tuesdays, every week and will replace the time-slot of 'Sweet Stranger and Me'.
