Overview

While Virat Kohli will be looking to maintain his perfect record at home by winning his maiden assignment as Twenty20 International team captain, England will be hoping to leave the Indian shores on a high. The series is poised at 1-1 after England opened the account in Kanpur and the hosts levelled it by winning a thriller in Nagpur on Sunday.

Defending 145, India's Jasprit Bumrah, the skiddy right-arm death over specialist, conceded only seven runs from his last two overs to snatch the game away from the visitors. However, England skipper Eoin Morgan reportedly revealed after the game that he was "extremely frustrated" after a umpiring howler that saw well-settled Joe Root getting out in the last over.

Despite winning the second T20I, India have quite a few concerns that need to be quickly addressed if they are to beat the powerful England side in Bengaluru. While Lokesh Rahul getting back to form would have pleased skipper Virat Kohli, the Men in Blue's middle order has been below-par in the ongoing series.

India will also need more from the likes of Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni as the big-hitting English batting unit can make merry at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where the boundaries are smaller than normal.

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has had plenty of success at this venue where he plays for Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kohli, who skippers the franchise as well, will be banking on him to attack the English batsmen. It will important for Nehra and Bumrah to keep the runs down once again as a few tidy overs can make the difference in what promises to be a high-scoring final encounter.
