According to a report by Daily Star, a palace insider told that the Royal family of UK had called all the staff for two immediate meetings on November 24, Friday afternoon at Kensington Palace which is Prince Harry's home.
The source said that the afternoon meeting was about Harry and his girlfriend Meghan Markle's wedding. But there will be no celebration as the couple is planning for a non-traditional secret ceremony. However, neither Harry nor Meghan is ready to announce the news of their engagement in public.
"They are engaged but they are trying to sort a few things out now, like house hunting for a retreat and other things. It will be up to them to decide when to announce it as they want to do it their own way, which Her Majesty agrees with," the palace insider said.
"I honestly thought today was the day (of the announcement to the public), but they are a very private couple," the source further added.
"Her Majesty said Harry hasn't got the same responsibility as William which I know Harry is very happy with," he concluded.
All the palace staff became very curious on Friday as they were called for two back to back meetings. While in the first meeting Queen's plan to spend more time at Windsor Castle was discussed, the last meeting brought lots of excitement inside the palace.
Meghan who is dating Harry since past 17 months was spotted in London on Tuesday. According to media reports, the American actress might be left her famous TV show 'Suits' and flew to the foreign land to stay with her boyfriend Harry.
The palace staff thought that "today was the day (of the announcement to the public), but they are a very private couple. Her Majesty said Harry hasn't got the same responsibility as William which I know Harry is very happy with."
While asked about the meeting and the upcoming plans related to the wedding, a Kensington Palace spokeswoman said "this is not something we will comment on."
Although the 36-year-old Meghan was not invited during the Queen and Prince Phillip's 70th-anniversary ceremony at Windsor Castle, she is invited to the royal celebration of Christmas.
On the other hand, the couple would be going to get permission from Archbishop for their wedding, as the American star is a divorcee.
However, there is a good news for the royal family fans from all around the world that Meghan was seen with Prince William and his wife Kate in several occasions in recent days, which shows that both have started to build a bond with the would-be member of the royal family.
