Kodi's popularity has continued to skyrocket over the last few months. Some amazing add-ons have been added, others have transferred to a new repository. On set-top boxes, the Kodi app has been a favourite choice for many users.
The way to install it, however, has sparked a debate which one is right. Kodi developers have recommended a specific way to properly install the app on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick boxes.
How to install Kodi on Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick
To install the Kodi app on your Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, here's a simple guide on how to do it the right way to avoid problems in the future:
Step 1: Before anything else, you need to enable unknown sources on your Amazon box. If you have the new Fire Stick interface, go to Settings > Device > Developer Options. Otherwise, go to Settings > System > Developer options.
Step 2: Open the Amazon Appstore and look for the Downloader app. Install it.
Step 3: Once done, open the Downloader app and go to Settings > Enable Javascript > Yes.
Step 4: Go to the home screen. In the address bar, copy and paste this source URL: http://kodi.tv/download and press Enter.
Step 5: Once a Javascript disable warning pops up, click OK. This will launch the Kodi app.
Step 6: Click Android and then ARMV7A (32-bit version).
Step 7: Wait for Kodi to finish downloading. Once done, navigate downwards and click Install.
The Kodi app should in your apps folder now! Enjoy unlimited streaming on your Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick.
