iPhone 8 rumours are flooding in since the time Apple has announced their special 10-year anniversary version of the device. This week a plethora of leaks surfaced online, which include details about iPhone 7s Plus, which is supposed to be released along with iPhone 8 in September.
As far as iPhone 8 is concerned, the fresh leaks derived from the HomePod indicate that the highly anticipated face recognition feature of the device would work even when the phone is lying flat, like on a table. The code mentions the words, 'resting' alongside 'unlock' leading to the assertion and this piece of information was spotted by iHelp BR, the same publication that had earlier spotted the code that pointed towards the iPhone 8's ability to record 4k videos both on the front and the back cameras.
The details about iPhone 8's face recognition were earlier also mentioned by famous KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo last month as well.
Kuo also said that the upcoming iPhone would also do away with the Touch ID entirely and would not even include it on the power button. This prediction matches the earlier rumours about the phone that said the company is going to solely focus on the Face ID. he also mentioned that Apple's plan of embedding the Touch ID below the glass of the display has been scrapped.
Another leak came recently from tipster Benjamin Geskin. He shared a picture on Twitter which shows that the smartphone will incorporate two camera sensors on the rear panel. Geskin also added that the smaller one represents the wide-angle lens, while the larger represents the telephoto lens.
9to5Mac cites tipster Sonny Dickson, the source of iPhone 7s Plus dummy images, showed a picture that shows that this Apple device will be seen to sport a glass back. He also pointed that wireless charging feature will be included in the phone.
Finally, South Korean ET News reported that Samsung ha ramped up the OLED display production to its full capacity this month due to the high demand from Apple for the iPhone 8. The company, at its full capacity, is expected to produce around 124 million 6-inch panels and 130 million 5.8-inch panels.
