Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Bollywood movie Jab Harry Met Sejal (JHMS) is all set to release on Aug 4 across the globe in over 4500 screens, including Singapore. Director Imtiaz Ali's film has received a U/A certificate from the censor board and has a runtime of 2 hours 30 minutes.
Made on a budget of Rs 62 crore, Jab Harry Met Sejal has been getting an enormous response from the fans in terms of booking. According to reports, almost all the shows on Friday are housefull as the bookings started from Monday and when it comes to the tickets, the costliest ticket was of Rs. 2500. Usually, the pre-bookings of any Bollywood movie start from Wednesday, but since it is an SRK movie, the online booking service began from Monday itself.
Reports added that the Indian distributor rights are already sold at 75 crores to NH Studios. Thus, the film should go over 150 crore for recovering costs for distributors. Trade expert Sumit Kadel was quoted by Koimoi, "Jab Harry Met Sejal may surpass Raees and Dilwale given the condition that the content has been liked by the audience."
Kadel also added that if Jab Harry Met Sejal is able to get a good response after the weekend, it won't face any difficulty in earning Rs.160 to 170 crores. If Kadel's predictions are to be believed, Jab Harry Met Sejal could mint around Rs. 22 to 23 crores on its opening day, and 75-76 crores during the weekend.
Although Bollywood thrives on romantic films, but this film is expected to be an exception especially because of Imtiaz Ali. Jab Harry Met Sejal is a romantic comedy that will have rich production values, including the beautiful picturisation, songs, background score, punch lines and exotic locales that make the film a visual treat.
Besides direction, Imtiaz Ali has also written the story and screenplay for the movie, which is produced by SRK's wife Gauri Khan under the banner Red Chillies Entertainment. Apart from the lead actors, Aru Krishansh Verma, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Evelyn Sharma, Paras Arora and Sayani Gupta will also be seen in the film.
This will be the third film where Shah Rukh Khan will be paired with Anushka Sharma after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Thus fans are expecting an amazing chemistry between the two in Jab Harry Met Sejal.
