In a stunning Instagram post, action star Jackie Chan's daughter Etta Ng has come out as gay. On Thursday, she captioned a post that reads, "In case no one got the memo, I'm gay," on her handle @stolenmilktea. However, she soon deleted the caption and replaced it with few hashtags— #lgbtqai, #lgbt, #lesbian, and #androgynous.
The post went viral immediately with netizens supporting the teenager for her courage. A comment read, "love you we are proud of you welcome to lgbtqai+ we support you❤️️" while some called her as an embarrassment to her father. "You are an embarrassment to your father."
Etta was born to Jackie and beauty queen Elaine after a short extra-marital affair. However, Etta is not in touch with the 'Kungfu Yoga' star. Ng was in the headlines recently for an alleged suicide attempt. Reportedly, she was hospitalised at a hospital in Hong Kong for treatment.
Meanwhile, Ng is in a relationship with Canadian social media influencer Andi Autumn, who also lives in Hong Kong.
Earlier this morning, Ng thanked fans for their love and support.
The 17-year-old teenager has reportedly been distressed, often hurting herself. Ng's relationship with her mother, which has always been on a roller coaster ride, is said to be the reason for her stress. Earlier this year, Ng called the police to arrest her own mother after alleging an intimidation effort. However, that was not the first time Ng is accusing her mother of physical abuse. Earlier in 2015, she had made a similar accusation.
