Jennifer Aniston is still reportedly coming in terms with mother, Nancy Dow's death. The Friends star was estranged from Dow for years, with the pair reuniting just two weeks before she died in May 2016 at the age of 79.
According to In Touch, Aniston is leaning onto former husband Brad Pitt for emotional support. A source said: "She's been looking to [Brad] for guidance and advice. Her husband, Justin Theroux, is trying to help, but Brad understands her better than anyone else. Jen needs Brad more than ever right now."
"Brad knows the history of Jen's complicated relationship with Nancy and doesn't judge her for the feelings she's having. He pointed out that Jen didn't love her mom, and she's mourning the loss of the mother she would never know. Jen was deeply touched and realized he was right," the insider added.
"Jennifer is so grateful to have him back in her life," the source continued.
The former Friends star and the Fury actor who were married between 2000 and 2005, split when the actor fell for Angelina Jolie on the set of the film Mr And Mrs Smith.
Meanwhile, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on 19 September citing irreconcilable differences. Previously, Justin Theroux said it is "nonsense" to drag Aniston's name into Jolie and Pitt's divorce.
During an interview with Business Insider while promoting his movie The Girl on the Train, Theroux said: "There's an endless appetite for trash, apparently, though everyone would say that they don't have that appetite. But I think a lot of people do because people buy it. But there are bigger things to b***h about. It's shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world."
