Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie are reportedly fighting to grab a role in Quentin Tarantino's film about the Manson family murders. The movie, which is yet to be named, follows the notorious killings of five people, including pregnant actor Sharon Tate, wife of director Roman Polanski, carried out by followers of Charles Manson in 1969.
Many unconfirmed reports state that the American actress and the Suicide Squad star are being considered for the role of Sharon. Brad Pitt may be play Vincent Bugliosi, the lawyer who prosecuted the family.
A source told OK! magazine: "Margot's got the edge and the looks to play doomed Sharon but Jennifer's not giving in. Nothing has been set in stone yet."
"They're both trying to influence Quentin with texts and emails and lunches," the insider added.
"They really have a vicious rivalry that goes back three or four years and are constantly battling over female leads in movies because they're both blonde and around the same age," the source went on.
Meanwhile, younger sister of Sharon, Debra Tate, has revealed whom she would like to have play her sister in Tarantino's film. She told TMZ: "They're both extremely accomplished actresses, but I would have to say, my pick would be Margot simply because of her physical beauty, and the way she even carries herself is similar to that of Sharon."
