T-ara's Jiyeon and Jung Joon Young are not dating. Both the stars denied the reports, and revealed they are good friends.
Jiyeon's agency MBK Entertainment said in a statement: "We confirmed with Jiyeon and she is not dating Jung Joon Young. She recently went on a trip overseas with 10 friends including Jung Joon Young. The only celebrities in that group were the two of them. Their group of friends often hung out after returning from the trip as well. They are close acquaintances, not a couple."
Young's agency C9 Entertainment said: "Jung Joon Young and Jiyeon are not dating. The rumors are false."
Jiyeon was romantically linked to Young, after she recently ended her relationship with actor Lee Dong Gun.
The breakup news was confirmed by Gun's label which blamed their busy schedule for the split. The statement read: "It's true that they've broken up. It happened recently. The two became busy, and naturally drifted apart. They've been focusing on their drama filming and such."
An industry source stated to Soompi: "They recently decided to end their relationship as a couple and remain as colleagues. They separated naturally just like any ordinary couple would because they were unable to meet up frequently due to their busy schedules."
