John Park and Jo Hyun Ah's agencies have responded to reports that they are in a romantic relationship. Both of their agencies confirmed that the two, who worked together for a song in the Urban Zakapa album's Still, are just friends.
Rumours that they are dating started after a celebrity news website reported that they have been dating for two years. Adding on, the media outlet went on to claim that they bonded as they share music as a common interest.
However, spokespersons for Park and Hyun Ah said in a statement: "It's true that the two are good friends, but they're not in a dating relationship."
Park had opened up about his love life in an interview with Ilgan Sports. He told the publication that he is not seeing anyone at the moment.
The 28-year-old American singer of Korean descent said: "I think I'm lonely but I don't want to date. I don't know what kind of theory this is but that's just how I feel. When you date, you have to focus only on dating, but I have to work on music and it'll be too much doing both."
"Currently, I don't have a girlfriend," Park said.
Previoulsy, the runner-up on the Korean TV talent show Superstar K: Season 2 had talked about the kind of girls he likes. He revealed: "I think that the physical characteristics [of my ideal type] are always changing. As for her personality, I just want us to be able to communicate well. But most importantly, she has to know how to eat Pyongyang-style cold buckwheat noodles with me."
