Nielsen Korea released a statistics report on February 5 stating that the first episode of "Hyori's Homestay 2" starring YoonA has scored viewership ratings of 8.02 percent.
The second season has outdone itself by scoring 2.17 percent higher ratings than the first season's episode one.
Hence "Hyori's Homestay 2' has set a new record by being JTBC's most viewed first episode for a variety show.
In response, producing directors Jung Hyo Min and Ma Gun Young said, "We're so happy and it's all thanks to Lee Hyori, Lee Sang Soon, and YoonA. We're grateful for the interest the viewers have shown for our show, and we are blown away by the ratings."
They further thanked the whole production team which included the screenwriters, younger PDs and all the other crew members who are involved behind the scenes.
The two PDs were also asked if they feel pressured by the great start, to which they replied, "We do, but the high ratings mean that people are very interested in our show, so our goal is to just maintain their interest and raise the ratings. The high ratings are giving us more energy to put into our show."
Hyori's Home Stay(also known as Hyori's Bed and Breakfast) is a South Korean television show starring Lee Hyori and husband Lee Sang Soon. The pilot episode was aired on June 25, 2017. The show is shot at the residence of Hyori and Sang Soon in Jeju Island.
The second season of 'Hyori's Homestay' began filming on January 7 and the show will continue airing till the first half of the year.
In the previous season actress and singer, IU had worked as the star employee.
Rising star Park Bo Gum will also appear in the show as a temporary employee soon to help Hyori, Sang Soon and YoonA run the homestay.

YoonA does have a very powerful impact on the show as her waffle machine trended on Twitter and was sold out in no time. Every item YoonA used in the show including her sweater, coat and everything was sold out immediately.
