Jung Joon Young's agency has opened up about his alleged sex tape. The 27-year-old South Korean actor/singer's agency, C9 Entertainment lashed out at reports that he is involved in the clips.
The statement read: "The man in the video that has been going around is not Jung Joon Young. We didn't say anything about it because we didn't think it was worth making a response, but because it continues to be spread, we will be discussing how to deal with it."
Young is having a bad time after reports emerged accusing him of sexual assault. Local news media Sports Seoul reported that he was being investigated by the Seongdong District police after a woman accused him of sex crime. However, C9 Entertainment released a statement stating that he has been proven to be innocent.
Adding on, Young had recently pulled out from KBS's show, 2 Days & 1 Night. The official statement from the South Korean reality-variety show's production team read: "It is very regrettable that Jung Joon Young's unfavorable scandal has given many viewers trouble and worry."
The note continued: "After discussing with Jung Joon Young for a long time, it has been decided that he will be leaving for a time of self-reflection regardless of the inquiry's outcome. Jung Joon Young expresses his sincere apology to all of the '2 Days & 1 Night' colleagues as well as all the viewers, who have given him much love."
"The show will continue recording with the remaining members starting from September 30. We plan to consider things once more after the results from the police investigation. For the existing recordings, there will unavoidably be footage of Jung Joon Young because he interacted with the rural village folk," the announcement stated.
