JYJ's Jaejoong is ready for a comeback after his two years in military service. His comeback project is reportedly a youth comedy of KBS known as Manhole.
The drama revolves around a character who finds a random time portal to the past and goes on to manipulate a few events so as to prevent a wedding that is to happen in a week in the future. In the drama, Jaejoong will be playing the role of an unemployed man named Bong-pil who is the leader in a group of five individuals, the stories of whom will be told throughout the drama.
According to dramabeans, Jaejoong's character is the retired postal worker's only child, in the third generation of only sons.
Before passing and enrolling into university Bong-pil had to take the college entrance exam three times. After graduation, he ended up spending three years doing nothing, and for the third time he is trying his luck for the civil service exam. He also tried his hand in business by starting a cafe business but within three months of opening, Bong-pil's cafe went out of business.
Viewers will have to wait for the drama to see how the character actually grows with the drama and what happens to him eventually.
The said drama's PD is Park Man-young (The Vineyard Man, Million Roses) who is in charge of the production, and Special Affairs Team. On the other hand, TEN's writer Lee Jae-gon is on the script. The interesting collaboration of the two, a rom-com director and a crime-thriller writer coming together for a sci-fi comedy is much awaited.
The upcoming KBS Wednesday-Thursday drama Manhole will air after Queen for Seven days finishes its run in August.
