After Kamal Haasan 's recent entry into politics, his fans have got another news to rejoice as his long-delayed movie Vishwaroopam 2 will finally hit theatres in April 2018.There were reports that Vishwaroopam 2 trailer would be released on his 63rd birthday but unfortunately, the trailer could not be realized as planned.

However, the release date might be preponed to January if superstar Rajnikanth's ambitious project Enthiran 2.0 gets delayed further. Earlier, in February, the 'Ulganayagan' actor had tweeted that he is getting personally involved in clearing the paths for Vishwaroopam 2.

Sources from the actor's team have said to the First post that at present, they are dealing with the post-production of the movie with few parts being left to shoot, that will be completed in the end of the month. They also added that the movie needs a lot of VFX, which is the actual reason for its delay.

"The film has extensive VFX work and it's taking longer than expected. Kamal sir wants the quality to be top-notch. Since it's trilingual, it means triple the work and hence the delay," sources told one of the portals.

In the spy thriller, Kamal Haasan plays the role of a RAW agent featuring Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Shekar Kapur and Andrea Jeremiah in pivotal roles. Though Vishawaroopam was in the mid of controversies, with it being banned in Tamil Nadu and other places for hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims, after release it went on to become a huge hit at the box office, becoming one of the highest-grossing Tamil films in the box office.

Though the actor had thought to release the sequel of the movie earlier, he had to restrain due to financial issues. Whether the actor's sequel performs as well as the previous one or gets stuck in controversies, only time will tell.
