An American magazine has come up with claims that all is not well between Kate Middleton and Prince William's families. According to Life & Style magazine, the "family war" is over Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
An alleged source told the publication: "Though the royals seem to have a fairy-tale life, behind the scenes a war has broken out between the Middleton family and William's parents."
"With hurt feelings on both sides, an estrangement is growing — and Kate is caught in the middle," the insider added.
"William hates drama so he asked Kate to speak to her mother. Everyone hopes they can put this rift behind them for the sake of the kids... The last thing [Kate] wants is for the war to escalate," the source shared. "The fighting is over George and Charlotte. Kate's mom, Carole Middleton, has bonded intensely with her grandchildren, and it's left William's dad, Prince Charles, feeling jealous. He and wife Camilla Parker Bowles feel excluded from Charlotte and George's lives. Prince Charles is furious about it."
Amidst these rumours, Kate accidentally revealed the sweet name she uses for Prince William, during a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show in London. Garden designer Charlie Albone told Channel 9's Today Show that she overheard the royal couple's conversation. She recalled: "I got to meet Prince Will and Prince Harry. Prince William was quite funny actually. He came up and said, 'What [flower] is this one?' and I replied, 'That's a Buxus'."
She added: "Princess Catherine just turned to him and said, 'Babe, we've got those. We've got loads of those.'"
