Soompi also noted that a news outlet on July 4 reported that Kim So-hyun will not renew her contract with SidusHQ and instead, set-up a new one-person agency with her manager. We are currently discussing her contract renewal," adding, "Nothing has changed since our previous statement in which we shared that we will discuss the renewal of her contract after her drama ends."
However, Kim So-hyun decided to part ways with SidusHQ. On August 31 the agency confirmed this and said, "We have decided to respect the wishes of Kim So Hyun who we have been for a long time, and we will support the future of Kim So Hyun as she grows as a wonderful actress."
The 18-year-old actress also successfully completed her high school qualification examination. As noted by Soompi, she wrote on her official fan cafe, "I passed my high school qualification exam! This isn't a big deal, but I'm letting my fans know because they were concerned about my busy schedules before the exam. I was really worried [about this whole process], but so many people gave me courage. Thank you."
A source from her former agency, SidusHQ had revealed on August 29 that the actress is looking forward to attending college in 2018. Kim So-hyun will also make play a cameo role in upcoming SBS television series 'While You Were Sleeping,' which stars Lee Jong-suk and Suzy Bae in lead roles. The drama begins airing on September 27, this year.
