The Twilight series actress Kristen Stewart recently opened up how awful all the media attention was when she was dating her co-star of the said movie series. Stewart gained fame as Bella Swan in the series alongside her ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. The global success of the series made them one of the power couples of Hollywood.
However, in an interview with Sydney Morning Herald she shared about her relationship with Pattinson and fame.
"I was really, really young; I was 17," the 26-year old actress stated.
She further added, "It was too insane. It was too scary to try to make peace with how so many people wanted to know every detail about my life. They wanted everything. It was too much. I couldn't break it down and digest what was happening. I was too insecure to lay it out for what it was."
Though, it was a tough time for Kristen, she doesn't regret falling in love with Pattinson or starring in the Twilight series. She appreciates all of it and believes that those years of experience made her who she is today. The actress also became an icon of the LGTB community.
"It's central to my personal history; it shaped me incalculably and taught me a lot of lessons about myself, about people, about society," she revealed.
She also added saying, "It's funny how much I hated the attention. I really hated it – I don't think that was a secret – but now I don't look back at it and mourn and think, 'What an awful time, I'm traumatized.' It more fascinates me."
Stewart evolved as a person after breaking up with Robert Pattinson and is quite vocal about her sexuality as well. She was linked to a number of women but she only admitted being gay when she got into a relationship with Alicia Cargile.
Both Stewart and Pattinson moved on after their break-up and is happy with their current partners. The 30-year-old actor is reportedly engaged to singer FKA Twigs and Stewart is reportedly started dating supermodel Stella Maxwell.
