Leaked Galaxy S8 case render from Ghostek reveals actual specs

Freshly leaked Galaxy S8 case render has surfaced online from the retail mobile case-maker Ghostek, which reveals some actual specifications of the handset, ahead of its highly-anticipated release at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February. This is the first such leak from the casemaker that hints at the design elements of the handset in close-range snapshot.

As PhoneArena reports, the Galaxy S8 would be the first handset in the Galaxy S line-up to benefit from the complete design makeover as depicted in the latest leaked screenshot from Ghostek.

One glance at this image confirms that a few design elements are off set from the existing Samsung flagships such as the single lens camera and the lack of a Home button on the front panel or the absence of a fingerprint sensor on the back panel. So, it is anybody's guess that Samsung could be developing a dual-edged curved display with an integrated fingerprint sensor under its hood.

The LED flash seems to be hidden somewhere above the camera, which is not clear in the leaked image. There is no purported dual-camera either, as ensuing rumours point out that only Galaxy S8 Plus will include the feature.

Galaxy S8 is almost confirmed to receive the LED flash for the main or rear camera and hence the lack of it could question the credibility of the leaked photo. Furthermore, the latest rumours indicate that the South Korean company will drop the 3.5mm audio jack in favour of wireless earbuds.

Samsung's next flagship phone is likely to compete with the likes of Xiaomi Mi 6 and Nokia 6 at the MWC 2017, wherein all three phones are expected to be launched.
