Actor Lee Jong Suk has postponed his military enlistment date to take part in the promotion of his upcoming film VIP and pre-filmed drama While You Were Sleeping. The 27-year-old star received his enlistment notice last month and was likely to begin his basic military training from August 10.
In addition, Lee is also pursuing his masters in acting from the Konkuk University Graduate School and has expressed his willingness to complete the course before his enlistment. "I feel a sense of responsibility as the lead in my films and dramas. If possible, I'd like to focus and do my best at my promotional activities for my works," All Kpop quoted the actor.
His agency, YG Entertainment, earlier told Soompi that Lee is feeling responsible for his film VIP, and his upcoming drama While You Were Sleeping. They further added that he will be trying his best to participate in both the projects' promotional schedule.
Earlier, Lee failed to complete his physical examination successfully due to a past knee injury. He is likely to serve in the public welfare department once he begins his service. VIP stars Lee Jong Suk, Jang Dong-gun, Park Hee-soon and Kim Myung-min in the lead. The film is all set to be premiered on August 24. His pre-filmed drama While You Were Sleeping will start airing from September 27. In the drama, the actor is sharing screen space with Suzy, a member of girl group miss A.
