Lenovo is all set to launch K5 Plus in India on Teusday, March 16. This smartphone was launched n MWC in Barcelona, Spain, last month along with Lenovo Vibe K5. Both the phones are almost identical apart from the display resolutions and Processor.
Lenovo K5 plus being the more powerful of the two, will debut in India tomorrow. It has a 5-inch IPS LCD full-HD display (1080x1920 pixels). It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 quad-core SoC with Adreno 405 GPU coupled with 2GB of RAM. For the photography enthusiasts this phone has a 13-megapixel rear-camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
For connectivity it has dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB 2.0. The phone has a 2750 mAh removable battery, 16GB in-built storage and support for up to 32GB via a microSD card. Lenovo has also included Dolby Atmos support and has 2 speakers on the rear side of the device. This is a pretty slim device (just 8.2mm thick) and weighs just 142 grams. Surprisingly, this device does not have a fingerprint sensor which has become quite a norm in budget segment phones these days.
Lenovo K5 plus was launched for $149 and may be priced around Rs 10,500 here and will be available in Platinum Silver or Champagne Gold color options. The phone is an upgrade to the A6000/6000+ series. It may face a stiff competition from other devices like Redmi Note 3 and Honor 5X or even Coolpad Note 3 which are selling at approximately at the same price range however boast a better set of hardware compared to Lenovo K5 Plus. However, pricing will be a key factor here for Lenovo.
