Overview
Liverpool will be high on confidence entering into the weekend Premier League clash against Stoke after they were successful in avoiding a defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund. The first leg of the Europa League tie between the Reds and the Bundesliga outfit at the Signal Iduna Park ended in a 1-1 draw.
It was Divick Origi, who put the Merseyside club in front in the first half before Mats Hummels' header helped Dortmund to equalise. The clash saw Jurgen Klopp return to his former club for the first time since leaving them after the end of the last season.
Stoke's last fixture ended in a 2-2 draw against Swansea City. After a disappointing away run, Mark Hughes' side have managed to win two of their last three away league matches and have successfully scored in all those fixtures. They will be looking to register a victory over Liverpool on Sunday and keep their momentum going for the remaining matches of this season.
