Kota Bharu police discovered the bodies of two teenagers from a possibly abandoned Perodua Kelisa car in Kampung Panchor, in the rural state of Kelantan on Monday. A passer-by said he spotted the two corpses, one lying on the front seat and the other on the back seat of the vehicle.

According to Bernama, the police were alerted about the incident at 5.55am, following which officers rushed to the scene. The victims have been identified as Mohamad Sharul Nizam Hasbullah of Kampung Gertak Sagu and Nik Muhammad Hafiz Nik Zam Zam of Kampung Panchor, both 18.

Kota Baru Police deputy chief Supt Setapa Yusof said that preliminary investigation did not reveal any injury on the bodies and the case had been classified as sudden death. However, the officer is not ruling out foul play in the case.

The bodies have been sent to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital for post-mortem and the police have ordered a probe into the matter.
