Miley Cyrus did not attend the prestigious Met Gala for Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. The former Disney star apparently wanted to spend quality time with the Hunger Games actor.
A source told Hollywood Life: "Miley would have loved to have gone to the Met Gala and knows she would have totally rocked it with this year's theme of Fashion in the Age of Technology. However, being with Liam was more important. It was important for her to let him know that he and their relationship is her top priority. She wouldn't want to be anywhere else than with him right now."
The 26-year-old actor and Cyrus were spotted together several times recently. However, the two have denied that they have reunited.
Previoulsy, in an interview with Elle magazine, Cyrus confessed that she thought she would die without her Disney career and Hemsworth. She said: "When I went through a really intense breakup — you know, I was engaged — and when I was with him [Hemsworth] or when I was on Disney, the thing that gave me the most anxiety was not knowing what to do with myself when Disney wasn't there to carry me anymore or if I didn't have him."
"And now I'm free of both of those things, and I'm fine. Like, I lay in bed at night by myself and I'm totally okay, and that's so much stronger than the person three years ago, who would have thought they would have died if they didn't have a boyfriend," she said.
