MONSTA X's Wonho will not be performing in the boy group's show-con, shared the group's official account on Twitter. The singer has fallen sick hours before the show, prompting the cancellation of his performance.
The Twitter post, shared on November 7, read that Wonho has been suffering from a bad cold since previous Sunday, due to which he was on rest. In spite of that, his health has not improved yet, so he had to get tests done, such as a CT and MRI.
According to the announcement, the doctors are suspecting encephalomeningitis, an inflammation of the brain and meninges, so the star is going through a detailed medical examination. Even though his diagnosis has not been given yet, Wonho will not be participating in the concert, which has been touted as the group's comeback show-con.
Starship Entertainment's official statement reads that Wonho will be unable to attend the show that precedes MONSTA X's The 5th mini album 'The Code's 'Comeback Show-Con, which will take place in the evening of November 7.
The announcement further apologised to fans who have been eagerly waiting for the comeback show and the mini album. "The MONSTA X members and Wonho also feel apologetic and regretful about delivering such sudden news, since it is MONSTA X's first domestic comeback in a while after wrapping up their first world tour 'Beautiful'.
The notice also stated that fans will be kept updated about further developments.
Meanwhile, MONSTA X's fifth mini album 'The Code' just dropped a music video of their title track, Dramarama, reports Soompi. The song is a peppy number, full of hip hop and rap influences. It has been written by MONSTA X members Jooheon and I.M. The choreography is also to watch out for.
