The 4th Prince Wang bid adieu to his fans with the last episode that aired on 1 November. The male lead of the show, actor Lee Joon Gi, went down the memory lane to reminisce his royal character with his adoring fans.
The 34-year-old talked about his serving role with Naver TVcast. He relayed: "I've gained another unforgettable character. While I was acting as Wang So, I had a lot of worries and concerns about making sure that Wang So was different from my previous sageuk roles, but it's hard to believe that it's the last episode."
"While it was really hard, I want to say 'Thank you' to the character. I hope he's happier in his next life, and that he stays happy with Hae Soo for a long, long time," he said.
Meanwhile, the actor also expressed his disappointment over the drama's ratings in previous interactions. The lead actor seemed worried about the numbers and viewership: "I feel sad. All the actors and staff worked so hard. Everyone worked so hard," he said. "I have no regrets. As a leading role, I must have a sense of responsibility with its success, including TV ratings. As I watch this drama, I am looking for what it is lacking."
The May 18 actor further revealed that he keeps a tab on his performance, and also checks the ratings of other dramas and movies: "Not just my works, but I watch almost all dramas and movies that are out to analyze what people like, why certain dramas have high ratings, and why some don't do as well. It helps me be a better actor for the next work and also helps me to select scripts," he said..
