It won't be long until we see rising Hallyu star Park Bo Gum greeting his fans in a traditional Korean dress. The 23-year-old, who made a rating promise for his ongoing period drama, will mesmerize his shippers at a signing event in Gwanghwamun soon.
During a promotional event in August, the actor committed to his fans he would host a special event with Hanbok as a dress code if the viewer ratings of the Crown Prince drama surpassed 20 percent. As the rating of the episode aired on September 12 shot up to 20.4 percent, the drama's representative agency came forward and affirmed Bo Gum's words.
While the insider did not confirm the date of the signing event, it revealed that the fan meet will be joined by other cast members as well. In an interaction with Xports News, the source disclosed: "We will be confirming the final date and place to fulfill the rating promise to the viewers for 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds' on the 12th. The 19th is not a confirmed date. It was Park Bo Gum who made the promise, but we want to give back to the love from the fans, so the 5 main actors will be attending."
Meanwhile, the lead of the drama, Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung, had made another rating promise at KBS 2TV's Entertainment Weekly last week, soompi reports. The duo gave their agreement for a guerrilla date if Moon Light Drawn by Clouds surpasses the 30% mark.
Given the popularity and rising viewership of the historical series, apparently the amusement park date might happen soon.
