Moto Z users in China are in for some great news as one Motorola official has confirmed the release of Android 7.0 Nougat with build NCC25.106-11 for the handset, in his recent post on Weibo. The Nougat upgrade will bring a handful of interesting features and enhancements to the settings menu and notifications shade, wherein the latter gets the new quick reply feature.
As The Android Soul reports, those who are upgrading to Nougat from Marshmallow will see a host of performance and stability improvements along with a considerable boost to Moto Z's battery life via the new Doze feature. Graphics performance also gets a boost, thanks to the new Vulkan API being integrated into Nougat.
Quick switching apps and split-screen multitasking are also making a comeback to stock Android 7.0 Nougat, wherein the former feature has been originally inherited from CyanogenMod.
The Moto Z finally joins the Nougat party alongside the Moto Z Play, Moto G4 Play and Moto X Pure, which were recently confirmed by Motorola to get the new Android 7.0 update. Not to mention, Moto X Play and Moto M are also at the verge of receiving the latest Android 7.1.1 update sometime in January or early Q1 2017.
