Nick Kyrgios pulled out of the Australian Open 2023 owing to his knee injury but continues to be in the spotlight as eagle-eyed fans spotted him fondling the boobs of his girlfriend in public. The tennis ace was spotted fondling the breasts of his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi in what appeared to be a lobby during the ongoing Australian Open.
A video of Kyrgios and Hatzi in the wild act has since gone viral on social media. However, some fans weren't impressed by Kygrios' lewd antics, although the pair were alone in the lobby at the time. But someone was at the right place at the wrong time who recorded the private moment in public.
Too Hot to Handle
The video shows Kyrgios, 27, and Hatzi walking side by side in what appears to be a lobby. However, the Australian tennis star is soon seen getting out of control as he is unable to resist the gorgeous brunette.
Hatzi, who was dressed in a white jumper and black leggings, was dragged from behind by Kyrgios as they sauntered along, and he immediately began to fondle her boobs.
For the rest of the video footage posted on Twitter, he kept cupping Hatzi's breasts, but she didn't seem to notice as they strolled casually to their destination.
Despite the fact that the pair was by themselves in the lobby at the time, spectators weren't amused by Kygrios' inappropriate behavior.
Fans obviously were shocked and social media was soon flooded with reactions. "No comment," wrote one stunned user.
"Like the most annoying couple in a high school hallway. Also get outta here. Why is he still here?" another user wrote.
"Why is he doing that in the middle of the hallway why is he even at the tournament?" tweeted another irritated viewer.
One fan raged in block capitals: "WHY IS HE DOING THAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY WHY IS HE EVEN AT THE TOURNAMENT."
Another angry fan urged Kyrgios to go and sort out his knee instead of fondling the breasts of Hatzi as his presence wasn't welcomed, saying: "fr like go get ur knee amputated or whatever nobody wants you here."
Always a Bad Boy
It comes as the bad boy of tennis withdrew from the Australian Open announcing that he would be traveling back to his mother's house for knee surgery within the next two weeks. The unexpected decision was made just a day before Kyrgios was scheduled to play his first-round match against Roman Safiullin, dealing a major setback for the tournament.
He was Australia's best chance to win a grand slam title and was initially dealing with an ankle injury that stopped him from taking part in any of the warm-up competitions before the commencement of play at Melbourne Park.
Kyrgios underwent a regular MRI after experiencing pain in his knee, and the results showed that he has a cyst and a tear in his lateral meniscus, according to his physiotherapist Will Maher.
According to him, the ailment only became an issue in the last two weeks and is not severe enough to endanger his career.
Kyrgios expressed his shock at having to withdraw from his home grand slam, when many saw him as having a chance to do even better than he did at Wimbledon, where he lost to Novak Djokovic in the final the previous year.
