Park Bo Gum is all set to host the 2016 KBS Drama Awards which will take place on 31 December. As the big day is approaching fast, the 23-year-old actor has shared his thoughts on who will win the Best Couple Award at the event.
Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung could win in the category, who played lovers in the period drama, Moonlight Drawn by Clouds. During an interview with Elle magazine, Bo Gum said he feels The Descendants of the Sun lead pair, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will take the gong. He said: "There's the almighty Song-Song couple, right behind."
Adding on, he talked about hosting the star-studded event. Bo Gum said: "When I was young, I really wanted to be a part of the end-of-year awards shows, but now that I'm actually there it feels weird."
"I used to go to church and ended the year with a prayer, but now that I spend it with people I'm not very familiar with at an award show and I wonder if it's something I should be doing," he continued.
Bo Gum also talked about the darker side of fame to the publication. He said: "I can't take the subway anymore. I think I can still take the bus, though. It's a double-edged sword because I'm grateful that people recognize and support me, but there are definite downsides to that."
He added: "I was surprised to see so many people gather during the Gyeongbukgung fan signing and in the Philippines during our vacation. Before I could meet and greet all my fans one by one, but now it's hard to remember all of their names. And my actions can sometimes cause misunderstandings. If I bow to one side, I've heard people from the other side ask why I didn't bow there. Because my sincerity might get distorted, I've had a lot of complicated thoughts recently."
