Now, the actor has become a proud recipient of the '2017 Metropolitan Seoul Mayor's Award for Community Service'.
According to a report on All Kpop, Park will be honoured with the award on September 7, Community Restoration Day, along with various other personalities who have contributed towards the welfare of the society. According to the report, the actor has donated a total sum of 1,700,000,000 KRW (~ 1,500,00 USD) to rural areas fighting poverty in Seoul, the Sewol Ferry fund, the Children's Restoration Hospital fund, the earthquake relief fund, and more since 2011.
On the career front, the actor has wrapped up the big screen version of his hit drama Cheese in the Trap and is getting ready to play as quadruplet brothers in his upcoming drama tentatively titled Four Sons. Reportedly, the filming will begin by November and will be aired on SBS in the first half of 2018. The pre-filmed drama is a mystery thriller that revolves around a female detective who discovers the quadruple brothers of the man she loved.
In an earlier interview to Soompi, Park discussed how a pre-filmed drama will give sufficient pace for the actor to study the characters. He said, "When I work on pre-filmed projects, I feel like I have more time to study and discuss my character with production staff. Plus, the script is finished when we are filming and more time can be put into editing. Filming a drama in real time is far more exhausting since we sometimes film for days with very little sleep; however, we also receive immediate feedback about the drama, which is a plus."
According to Soompi, the drama will also have After School's Nana and Kwak Si Yang in important roles. Kawk will appear as the protective guardian of the female lead.
