Park Shin Hye celebrated her birthday on the sets of her new cosmetic shoot in Thailand. However, that didn't stop the actress from thanking her fans for the wish.
On her Instagram account, the Doctors actress posted a selfie next to a daffodil field with the message: "Thank you for greeting me at the airport. It was late at night and you're being there really surprised me. Thank you."
Shin Hye debuted as a child actress in the 2003 film Stairway to Heaven. Her renowned dramas include You're Beautiful, The Heirs, Pinocchio and Doctor Crush. She was also listed as the 40 Most Powerful Korean Celebrities by Forbes Magazine.
Park Shin Hye topped the list of most popular female actors in the US. She is followed by Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Ji-Eun aka IU, Song Hye Kyo and Hwang Jung Eum. The survey was conducted by the Korea Creative Content Agency among thousands of Americans online over a period of two weeks. According to a report in Soompi, 73.5 percent of K-drama viewers in the US are females between the ages of 10 and 35.
Shin Hye's Heirs co-star Lee Min-Ho has been named as the most popular actor. Among the other big names in the top five, Lee Joon-Gi, 34, who recently made his Hollywood debut with a special appearance in Paul W. S. Anderson's "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" came second, followed by "W - Two Worlds" star Lee Jong Suk, "Descendants of the Sun" star Song Joong Ki, and "The K2" star Ji Chang Wook. The list of top five favorite Korean dramas were "Descendants of the Sun," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," "W - Two Worlds," "Cinderella and Four Knights," and "Oh My Venus."
Speculations are rife that Park will team up once again with Lee Min Ho for the sequel of City Hunter. The duo will also be joined by Goblin actor Gong Yoo. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the casting of City Hunter's season 2. Park and Lee are one of the most loved K-drama couples and they were also romantically linked up in the past. Looks like it's time to rekindle the lost love.
