ghtKBS2 historical drama 'Queen for Seven Days' has been steadily rising up the rating ladder in all of South Korea, thanks to its intense storyline of love and real-life tragedy which has been gripping audiences. The actions sequences are also quite impressive, though dangerous. It is being reported that lead actor Yeon Woo-jin, who plays Prince Jinseong-daegun, sustained an injury to his eye while filming for the drama.
Actor Yeon Woo-jin revealed in a recent press conference that he sustained an injury to his right eye while filming an action scene in the KBS2 drama, late at night. There were concerns about the actor when it was noticed that his right eye looked redder than usual. The actor, as noted by Soompi, revealed that a blood vessel had ruptured in his right eye, hence it appeared red.
As it turned out, it was Park Min-young, with whom Woo-jin was practising the fight when he got injured. Park Min-young revealed, "We were shooting an action scene at night and we weren't perfectly in sync so Yeon Woo-jin fell while filming, and hit his head on my foot." Eyes are considered to be the most vulnerable part of the body. The actor was lucky to have just ruptured a blood vessel.
Yeon Woo-jin added that Min-young quickly came to his aid and he was thankful to her. "Park Min-young started first aid right away, which I was really thankful for. I feel like I was able to return to filming the very next day because of her quick actions," the actor said, assuring everyone, "It's not a major injury. I don't think it's anything to be worried about."
Apart from fighting with each other, Yeon Woo-jin and Park Min-young also share good rapport off-screen and a beautiful chemistry on-screen. As noted in another article by Soompi, KBS released exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from upcoming episodes of the drama.
In the video, Park Min-young finds it difficult to maintain a straight face while shooting a romantic scene where she has to gaze deeply into Yeon Woo-jin's eyes. The pair is seen making fun of each other in-between takes and appear very comfortable around one another.
