The audio of Rajinikanth's highly anticipated movie 2.0 will be unveiled at Burj-Al-Arab in Dubai. This will be the first one in case of a Tamil movie that is going to be launched in the Arab country.
According to reports, Kamal Haasan, who is a well-known South Indian actor, has been invited as the special guest of the upcoming event. The makers have also reportedly extended the invitation to the rulers of the UAE. However, there is no confirmation on whether they will be part of the event.
AR Rahman, the two-time Oscar Award winner, will begin the audio launch event with a live concert and he will be joined by 125 symphony artistes. There are rumours that Rahman would treat the audience with all the songs from the upcoming flick 2.0. But, some reports suggested that renowned music director will be performing al his hit numbers from his past movies and he might end up with one 2.0 track. The popular Bosco Caesar Dance Company troupe will also be performing at the event.
The tickets for the 2.0 audio launch event, which has a seating capacity of 2,000 people, are already sold out. Reorts said that the VIP tables for each family was sold at Rs 6 lakh.
The launch event will be broadcast live on LED screens in leading malls and it's also expected to be broadcast live on Zee Network, which holds the satellite rights of the multilingual movie.
Made on a budget of Rs 450 crore, the film has already created buzz among the audience. After 'Baahubali' series, Rajinikanth's '2.0' is being touted as the costliest project in the South Indian film industry. According to reports, Lyca Productions, which is bank-rolling the project, has already spent a whopping Rs 40 crore just for the film's promotion.
Rajinikanth's 2.0 is being shot in the 3D format. On October 7, the producers released the making video of 2.0 - 3D featurette. 2.0 has become a much-awaited project not only because of Rajinikanth, but also Akshay Kumar, who is going to make his debut in the Tamil film industry with this film. Shankar-directorial 2.0 also stars Adil Hussain, Riyaz Khan and Sudhanshu Pandey. It is slated to release on 25 January, 2018, on the eve of Republic Day next year.
